How UK Traffic Updates makes money from product links, in plain English.
UK Traffic Updates takes part in affiliate schemes run by retailers and affiliate networks. These let us earn a small advertising fee when readers buy products we link to.
The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go to the retailer directly.
We pick products because they're useful to UK drivers — breakdown gear, dash cams, safety kit. We don't rank a product higher because it pays more, and we don't hide better options for commercial reasons.
Prices, stock and delivery options change constantly and are controlled entirely by the retailer. Anything shown on this site may be out of date by the time you read it. Always check the current price on the retailer's own site before buying.
We don't sell, stock, ship or handle any of these products. Your purchase is with the retailer. That means payment, delivery, returns, refunds and warranty are all handled by them, under their terms — not ours.
If something goes wrong with an order, contact the retailer directly. We have no access to your order and can't intervene.
Affiliate product blocks carry a visible disclosure directly above them. Outbound affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" so search engines can identify them, and open in a new tab.
None of this affects how we report road incidents. Traffic data comes from public feeds (National Highways, TfL) and verified community reports.
If anything here is unclear, or you spot something that looks wrong, email business@uktrafficupdates.uk and we'll sort it.
